Four continents in 20 years – in hotels, B&Bs, resorts, villas and apartments, Jo and Rod Keers have always been intrepid travellers. Some twelve years past, they discovered the beautiful Promised Land region, on the northern coast of NSW, near the beautiful town of Bellingen. With its green pastures, pockets of unspoilt rainforest, rugged mountain backdrops and pristine Never Never River, the couple were immediately captivated. They needed to call this region home and so began the dream of Aniseed.

Jo, a physiotherapist specializing in Clinical Pilates for the past 10 years, and experienced organic farmer, provides fresh salad and herbs, lovingly grown on site. Rod has shed his city suit for blundstones and a tractor, planting over 2000 rainforest natives, on the property, over the past 4 years.
